Analyst

Client Accounting Specialist

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by actively communicating with clients via phone calls, emails, video conferencing, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Be able to advise clients on accounting and payroll methods and procedures, including the use of cloud-based software such as QBO, Xero, and payroll software.
  • Prepare a variety of accounting reports and statements, as well as having a thorough knowledge of multiple clients’ accounting ledgers.
  • Create, present, and explain graphical and dashboard information to clients.
  • Be willing to take on new challenges and develop unique solutions when a client makes an outside-of-the-box request.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent ability for developing and maintaining relationships with clients. 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in roles.
  • At minimum, a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Have the observational ability to identify trends in financial and business areas that are used to offer guidance to help our clients reach their goals.
  • Experience in cloud-based applications such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, and payroll software is preferred and the candidate will be expected to maintain certifications in each.
  • Ability to oversee and complete a high volume of tasks and projects quickly and react with appropriate level of urgency to situations that require quick response and turnaround.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions without direct supervision.
  • Ability to provide clear and timely updates to supervisors.

  • Assume full responsibility and ownership of weekly, monthly, and yearly accounting services to ensure information is processed accurately and timely.
  • Work well with fellow team members which includes being willing to ask questions, share your workload, and take on additional tasks when others are overloaded.
  • Understand and be able to explain payroll processes and procedures.
  • Prepare a variety of accounting reports.
  • Create and explain graphical and dashboard information for client analysis.
  • Maintain multiple accounting ledgers.
  • Balance and reconcile various accounts.
  • Prepare multiple returns for governmental taxing authorities such as sales tax, payroll tax and 1099s.
  • Advise clients on accounting methods and procedures.

  • 3-5+ years’ experience in accounting roles; a degree in accounting is a plus.
  • An ability to spot trends and outliers in data to offer guidance to help our clients reach their goals.
  • Experience in cloud-based accounting and payroll systems is required, QuickBooks Online and Xero are a plus. The candidate will be expected to maintain certifications in each.

Front Desk Admin

Avizo Group is adding to our team! We’re looking for a technology-savvy, people-loving professional to join us at the front desk in our Fairhope location.  The person filling this role will interact with clients and guests of the firm every day, so a passion for serving others is critical.  This is a fast-paced position where you will sharpen your time-management, leadership, and communication skills.  In order to grow within this position, you will need to be positive, proactive, and professional.

  • Ability to provide a positive and friendly experience for clients, guests, and coworkers.
  • Assist with the delivery of client documents, which can include assembling tax returns and financial statements, calling clients to schedule pick-up, getting signatures, and collecting payments.
  • Embrace technology by learning and actively using accounting-specific software for administrative functions (even phone messages will be emailed versus written).
  • Act as liaison between Avizo team and clients by scheduling meetings and exchanging messages.
  • Set up and update client information.
  • Send documents for e-signature.
  • Assist with billing when needed and send invoices.
  • Make deposits and enter payments.
  • Able to maintain professional dress (although we all enjoy “casual” Fridays when we wear jeans) and attitude.
  • Enjoy interacting with clients and staff.
  • Be proactive – willing to think beyond what is asked and offer solutions that may involve additional effort to make a seamless client experience.
  • Able to work independently on assigned duties while being an effective part of the team.
  • Capable of handling quick responses and turnaround.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Embracing technology is part of the DNA of Avizo, so you’ll have the benefit of learning and using software to aid you in completing your daily tasks.
  • Experience in any of the following software is a plus (no worries, we are willing to train if you’re willing to learn): SafeSend, Xero, Practice CS, GoFileRoom, TaxCaddy.
