Tammy Busby, CPA, CGMA
Tammy has been with our firm for over 23 years. She likes to say that accounting has very little to do with math, and a lot to do with problem-solving, communication, and a little bit of mind-reading. Clairvoyant skills aside, Tammy is a true expert of tax compliance and planning. She particularly enjoys tackling tough issues involving estate planning.
As part of our leadership team, Tammy is involved in a lot of things around the firm, including helping to develop our mentorship program, leading our Fun Committee (as chief chef), and developing processes and training to develop staff as active problem-solvers.
Tammy graduated from Troy University and is a proud alumna of the South of the South Marching Band where she continues her involvement by serving on the Band Alumni Board.
Tammy and her husband, Skip, have two children – Ian and Lucy – and two beloved Golden Retrievers, Stella and Geddy. As a family, they love to travel by planning a theme for the year. One year, they had annual passes to Disney (need an unofficial Disney travel planner? Tammy has been over 15 times!!) – this year, they are visiting all National Parks!
