Rachel is our Director of Accounting and Audit Services. She joined the firm in 2001 and specializes in governmental and non-profit audit and accounting services as well as working with small business clients. Rachel has a love for helping people and building relationships which resonates both within the firm and with her clients.
Her expertise expands from audit and assurance to tax and advisory services. She combines her unique understanding of multiple aspects of a business with an aptitude for integrating technology to boost efficiency.
Rachel’s passion when working with clients is to develop help them develop a strategic plan for the year. As a business owner herself, Rachel believes the most effective way to make financial progress is to take the time to truly examine your organization through the lens of our Strategic Planning services. The primary architect for Avizo’s internal goal planning, Rachel also has a deep understanding of how to motivate your team to achieve your company’s goals.
Internally, Rachel heads up Avizo’s Technology Committee where she gets to focus on leading our research and application of integrating new technology. Due to her combination of understanding business, audit, and technology, she is annually invited to be a session presenter in the Thomson Reuters Synergy Conference. She has also been recognized as a Bridging the Gap 2015 Winner through the Emerging Leader award, an award presented by Boomer Consulting, Inc. each year.
Rachel is married to Joshua Young and they have a daughter, Edy. She enjoys spending time with her family and attending the Golden Memorial Holiness Church where she sings in the choir. She is a devoted Atlanta Braves baseball fan and also enjoys reading, playing the piano, cooking, and relaxing at her family’s pond.
